11/11/11-Another Mountain Rescue

On November 11th at 11:54 hours, companies 61(Hamburg), 33, 44(Kempton), and 545(Hamburg EMS) were dispatched to the Hamburg Reservoir in Windsor Township for a mountain rescue. Responding units were advised of a male that was struck on the head by a tree he was cutting down. Brush and ATV33 responded and assisted with patient packaging and ATV33 transported the patient's family down the mountain while ATV44 transported the patient down to EMS. Engine 40(Shoemakersville) was requested and set up a landing zone nearby for medevac. Crews cleared the scene a short time after the patient was flown out.
