On October 28th at 22:36 hours, company 33, rescue 44(Kempton), and company 545(Hamburg EMS) were dispatched to Route 143 in the area of Hein Rd. in Greenwich Township for a vehicle rollover with entrapment. Chief, Rescue, and Engine 33 responded and were advised of one vehicle on its roof with the occupant trapped. Chief 33 arrived and reported one pickup truck on its roof with one occupant still inside the vehicle and trapped underneath the hood and the airmedical helicopter was to fly. Rescue 33 arrived on location and stabilized the vehicle. Rescue 44 then arrived and set up their airbags at the bed of the truck in case they were needed for lifting. The crew from Rescue 33 along now with additional manpower from Engine 33 popped the door and were able to lift the pickup truck enough with the spreaders to extricate the patient from underneath the vehicle. The patient was then extricated out of the vehicle onto a backboard and loaded into the ambulance for the ride to the landing zone. Crews remained on scene til 00:52 hours packing up and clearing and washing down the roadway.
